Happy Hens, Come share their magic!

Yvonne Sutherland's Happy Hens are an original concept, inspired by traditional poultry breeds once kept by New Zealand's pioneer women. Happy Hens are handmade with care, and are cheerful reminders of those earlier times.

You can see us in the April issue of NZ House and Garden, page 75 to be exact!

We had a great time posing for the photographer in between greeting visitors and other usual morning disruptions.

Enjoy the photographic essay then come and see us!

Happy Hens Easter newsletter

Hello Everyone

The new Happy Hens Newsletter is out with all our Easter specials, also our website is being updated on a weekly basis with so many new and old Happy Hens finally making it to the web. We have been a bit slow keeping up with this new information age but we are getting there. I am hoping to encourage Yvonne the creator of Happy Hens to write you all a weekly blog about the comings and goings here at Happy Hens, so keep watching this page.

Recently we added the Peony Hens to the website, they look great and are selling faster than we can paint them. Also we have the Millennium Rooster and our now regular feature of three little hens. But just yesterday I finally got all of our brights listed, they are beautiful fun bright coloured versions of the Happy Hen Black Ancona.

Keep an eye out for the new Happy Hen Fabric range including Tea Cosies, Oven Mits, Fat Quarters and much more.

Thank You to all of you who have been sending us your Happy Hen stories, we really love to hear them. Take Care and have a fantastic Easter from everyone at Happy Hens
